Against a backdrop of simulated weather, and under a thematic cloud of intentionally aligned opposites, Balenciaga’s Winter 22 campaign images—released Wednesday—mark an extension of the experience of seeing the pieces’ original unveiling.
Under the eye of photographer Daniel Rocheě, models are seen enlivening various pieces from the collection, ranging from the Crush Bag to the hybrid bodysuit dress. Also present in the Rocheě-captured images is the much-discussed Trash Pouch.
Serving as stars of the new campaign are Kim Kardashian, Alexa Demie, Kim Yeon-koung, Khadim Sock, and Big Matthew. At this point, of course, Kardashian has a fairly extensive history with Demna and Balenciaga, as documented here. In a recent IG post, Kardashian playfully dubbed herself the “Balenci Barbie.”
