UPDATED 1/26, 2:55 p.m. ET: Awake NY has announced its benefit T-shirt has resulted in raising $87,540 for those affected by the Bronx fire.

“Thank you to those who purchased a T-shirt in support of those affected by the devastating fire in The Bronx on January 9,” reads an Instagram post that also includes info on the organizations that will receive funds.

See original story below.

Angelo Baque’s Awake NY has partnered with the Ricardo Rodriguez-founded market agency No Company for a new T-shirt benefitting those affected by the tragic Bronx apartment fire that claimed the lives of 17 people, including eight children, earlier this month.

The collaborative piece runs for $60 and is now available for pre-order via the Awake NY site until 12 a.m. ET on Jan. 17. All proceeds will be given to the nonprofit Until Freedom Network, which is currently in touch with people “on the ground in the Bronx” who are working closely with victims.

Featured on the front of the T-shirt is art from Shirt King Phade. The back features logos from brand partners including Fear of God, Denim Tears, Hot 97, Union Los Angeles, Scarr’s Pizza, and more. Get a closer look below.

Earlier this week, a lawsuit was filed in state court by a couple who survived the fatal apartment fire. The suit, per a report from Bloomberg, seeks $3 billion in damages from the apartment building’s owners and argues that a number of maintenance safety issues (including the stated absence of a sprinkler system) contributed to the devastating incident.

Also this week, Fat Joe detailed the launch of a relief fund for Bronx fire victims. “I’m donating and I’m asking everyone that has a heart to donate,” Joe said when announcing the fund, more info on which can be found here.
