A new capsule collection from Awake NY pays tribute to the late Big L.

The capsule, available now, zeroes in on the Harlem legend’s posthumously released 2000 album The Big Picture. Both a zip hoodie and a hockey jersey bear the project’s title, while a tee included in the collection takes inspiration from “Ebonics,” a track from the album.

Per brand reps, the latest drop is intended to serve as “a celebration of New York hip-hop history” featuring pieces that “channel the style and cultural legacy that continues to influence the younger generations.”

Big L, who made his studio debut with Lifestylez ov da Poor & Dangerous in 1995, was fatally shot in Harlem four short years later. Several posthumous projects have since been released, including the aforementioned Big Picture and last year’s Harlem’s Finest: Return of the King.

More recently, L was among those heard on a new features compilation from Nas.
