50 Cent is commemorating the timelessness of a late family member’s undeniable impact on his life in a unique but befitting way.

This week, the G-Unit Film and Television Inc. founder gave fans a quick look at a customized Rolex he was rocking on that particular day. The dial of the watch, as seen below, has been emblazoned with the face of 50’s late grandfather, whose death was recently confirmed by 50 himself.

"You know the vibes," 50 told fans in the short video. "New piece, new timepiece. Got my old man in there." In the caption of the IG post, 50 added, "Our time here is limited. I want to thank you in advance for not wasting mine."

In July, 50 revealed his grandfather, who longtime fans will note was a key figure in the Grammy winner’s young life, had died. In a tweet, 50 reminded fans that "none of this shit really matters" due to our inability as humans to "take it with us" when our time comes.

An IG update at the time saw 50 remembering the hard work his late grandfather put in for his family, all while sharing a humorous memory of his last hospital visit.

"My old man is [a] tuff act to follow," 50 said. "He sacrificed for all of us."

50, who’s almost always in headlines or at least in the process of doing something that will result in one, is currently fresh off a legal victory involving his hugely successful Power franchise. This is how he reacted to the news.
