Jay-Z and Beyoncé brought their oldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, to her first Met Gala on Monday night (May 4).
The Everything Is Love artists were the long-awaited guests of the night, and Beyoncé wore a diamond-encrusted skeletal gown and crown that could be a reference for her possible rock-inspired Act III album.
Bey’s sequined ensemble was designed by Olivier Rousteing, while Blue Ivy accompanied in a white bubble maxi dress, and Jay-Z wore a black Louis Vuitton tuxedo.
While we wait for Beyoncé to drop her highly-anticipated ninth studio album, the summer belongs to Jay-Z, who will be celebrating the anniversaries of his two iconic albums, Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint.
On May 30, Jay-Z will make his headline debut for the Roots Picnic in Philadelphia, reuniting with the hip-hop band for the first time in 25 years since collaborating on his MTV Unplugged album.
The 25-time Grammy winner will follow with a three-night residency at Yankee Stadium in July, commemorating the 30th and 25th anniversaries of Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint, respectively.
Beyoncé’s last tour was in support of Cowboy Carter in 2025, where she brought Blue Ivy and her youngest daughter, Rumi, on select dates. Bey and Hov also share an 8-year-old son, Rumi’s twin brother Sir Carter.
