Cardi B’s wild gown at the 2026 Met Gala both confused and intrigued those who watched her strut down the carpet.
The Grammy winner wore custom Marc Jacobs, bewildering spectators with her gown’s puffy details. Multiple people on social media compared Cardi’s lace “Fashion Is Art” look to intestines, while one person called out the grotesque experiment at the end of 2024 movie The Substance.
The Am I the Drama? artist possibly nailed down her Met Gala before her credit card information was stolen weeks ago while she was on the Little Miss Drama Tour. During an Instagram Live, as reported by the BBC, Cardi threatened the thieves who spent $60,000 on her now-canceled American Express card.
"I ain't like some of these rich people," Cardi admitted. "One dollar can't be spent out of me. I don't play when it comes to my bread."
The rapper went on to say that she hadn’t been purchasing clothes since hitting the road for her tour, which concluded on April 18.
"I got clear, clear pictures of you trying to get money out of a [ATM]. I got clear pictures of y'all in Saks, and I got clear pictures with y'all in Apple,” she continued. "Y'all going to jail. Y'all going to prison and I'm gonna make y'all pay me back. Because one thing about me, I don't play about my money."
