Jay-Z showed up to the 2026 Met Gala wearing a very rare Patek Philippe timepiece, valued at $6 million, per Wristcheck.

On Monday night, Hov’s Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime made his wrist arguably one of the most expensive items on the red carpet. According to GQ, the Grandmaster Chime is Patek’s most “complex piece,” and while it isn’t flashy, it is very expensive.

Jay previously wore the watch during the 65th Grammys in 2023 and for Diddy’s 50th birthday in 2019. Released in 2014, the Grandmaster Chime was developed for Patek Phillipe’s 175th anniversary. It took eight years to craft the watch, which comprises 214 components, 20 complications, and 1,366 parts.

Other notable timepieces in Jay-Z’s collection include a $5 million Hublot Big Bang, a priceless one-of-one Vintage Rolex, a $3 million Richard Mille RM 56-01 Tourbillon Sapphire, and a $2.5 million Richard Mille 56 Custom “Blueprint.”

Alongside the luxury watch, Jay wore a black Louis Vuitton tuxedo. He stunned on the red carpet next to his wife, Beyoncé, who wore a sequined ensemble designed by Olivier Rousteing, and their daughter, Blue Ivy, who wore a white bubble maxi dress.
