Since its founding, Pigalle and creator Stéphane Ashpool have championed its local neighborhood, from which the brand takes its name, and the youth there. Ashpool wanted to create a place for kids to stay out of trouble in a neighborhood that was best known for sex shops and gangs, so he created a basketball court with Nike and LeBron James. The above short film showcases the results of all of Ashpool's efforts.
The video, titled Ensemble, stars the youth basketball team that Ashpool coaches in the neighborhood of Pigalle. The brand traded in models for members of Ashpool's squad to present the styles from Pigalle's Spring/Summer 2016 collection. The unorthodox fashion show also began with a full documentary that captured a year of the basketball team, making the entire production a celebration of youth.
