Drake Spotted in Vintage Packers Jacket While Shooting Video

Drake has been spotted shooting what appears to be a music video or promotion for his new record, Iceman, in Toronto, and fans noticed him wearing a vintage Green Bay Packers jacket.

In the clip circulating on social media, Drake could be seen chatting to people nearby while sporting a vintage yellow and dark green Packers jacket. It appears to be identical to a ‘90s-era jacket produced by Starter for the team, which often goes for upwards of $200 on eBay and other reseller platforms.

Here’s an example of a listing for the satin jacket that’s currently available with a buy-it-now price of $249.

Drake has a history of repping a variety of NFL teams throughout the years, which has often inspired fans to suggest any team or player he co-signs will be subjected to the dreaded ‘Drake curse.’ Drizzy even addressed the long-running meme last year, dismissing it as nothing more than a “funny” trend.

“I feel like I don’t play sports, so whether I pick the wrong team or not—if I could get out on the field and win for all your favorite teams, I would,” Drizzy said in a video for the sports betting platform Stake. “But no, the Drake curse is funny to me, honestly.” Drake suggested that such a curse is fake news, anyway, because he supported the Toronto Raptors when they won the NBA championship in 2019.

Freddie Gibbs, a noted fan of the Chicago Bears, appears to still believe in the curse, sharing the video of Drake with a little quip. “On 2nd thought, I’m actually happy he’s rocking this jacket,” Gibbs joked.

Recently, vintage watch dealer Eric Wind announced plans to auction off an ultra-rare Rolex GMT-Master II reference 116758SANR that can be seen on Drake’s wrist on the cover of his 2011 classic, Take Care. The piece will cost you $500,000 if you’re looking to own a piece of Drake history.

“I love watches with great provenance and stories,” Wind recently told Complex. “I think Take Care is one of the most important albums from the last 20 years. Drake is an icon. When I first learned about the watch some years back, I was kind of fixated and hopeful that I would have a chance to get it.”
