Shaquile O’Neal and Kevin Hart had their fair share of fun trying to guess whether popular sports posts came from the NBA Central or parody NBA Centel accounts.

NBA Central is a popular X profile that posts real news about the NBA, while NBA Centel is a satirical X account that regularly goes viral for its outlandish and hilarious posts that are blatantly false—but often get treated as reality.

In a video posted to NBA Centel, Shaq and Hart came together to determine which page was responsible for posts in a quick game in which they were seemingly competing against each other.

The first question came from Shaq, who referenced a post about Devin Booker donating $20,000 on a GoFundMe to save the Hooters restaurant chain from going bankrupt.

After Hart guessed that it was NBA Central, Shaq burst his bubble by revealing that it was actually a fictional post from NBA Centel.

“He’s like a real Hooters fanatic,” Hart responded. “Wait, that came out wrong.”

Shaq correctly guessed that a post about Carmelo Anthony wanting to leave basketball after a young player called him “Unc” was created by NBA Central. Hart was fooled again when he answered incorrectly about LeBron James listening to Young Thug.

On the final round, both Shaq and Hart correctly guessed that a post about NBA 2K26 giving Jalen Green nail polish was from NBA Central.

Earlier this year, NBA Centel was suspended on X, leading fans to mourn one of sports’ great social media pages. The page went viral again when it responded to condolences for the page by Stephen A. Smith with a meme announcing its resurrection.

In June, Shams Charania gave NBA Centel a shoutout live on air before Game Three of the NBA Finals.

"I'm not gonna lie, that account—I think it was Tom Thibodeau getting fired, they put that up. I mean obviously it's a parody account, but they put that up," Charania explained. "Then like a week later, he got fired, and they said, 'We had it first!’ I'll give them credit for that."
