The woman who accused Puka Nacua of biting her has now decided to pull her request for a restraining order against him.
The New York Post reports that Madison Atiabi’s attorney, Joseph Kar, gave a statement to The California Post about how his client wants to drop the matter without prejudice.
“A voluntary withdrawal allows for the merits of the civil matter to be thoroughly investigated and tried to a jury,” Kar said. “Civil harassment petitions are not normally ever tried before any jury, while the civil lawsuit will be proceeding on all counts to a jury.”
According to Kar, the move was made so that he and his client can “focus our efforts” on the follow-up lawsuit filed against Nacua on Mar. 25. Atiabi is suing Nacua for gender violence, assault and battery, and negligence. In return, she’s asking for compensatory damages and medical expenses, “past and future.”
Nacua has called the allegations against him “false and damaging,” and has suggested that he will pursue a defamation lawsuit.

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua has been accused of biting a woman and making an antisemitic comment.
TMZ Sports reports that the 24-year-old NFL player is the subject of a temporary restraining order filed by a woman in Los Angeles. According to the publication, the woman claimed that Nacua shouted “Fuck all the Jews” at dinner. She said that his comment was “the first act in what became an escalating course of rude or vulgar, threatening, violent, and harassing conduct.”
After the dinner, the woman accused him of putting his head into her lap and biting her in a sprinter van — leaving a visible mark on her body.
The woman also said that after she filed an incident at the top of this year, there was a mediation conference this month where the player’s team threatened to “contact TMZ and other press and media outlets and to disseminate false, inaccurate, and/or deliberately exaggerated public statements about the events of December 31, 2025.”
Nacua has denied the allegations; his attorney, Levi McCathern, says that the accusations are just a shakedown attempt from the woman who has requested millions of dollars. The lawyer alleges that the bite was “horseplay” that left a temporary mark, and that Nacua never made an antisemetic remark.
A hearing about the situation is scheduled for April 14th. The woman's temporary restraining order was denied.
