It seems that LeBron James had something to say about Kyrie Irving’s trade to the Dallas Mavericks.

The 38-year-old Los Angeles Lakers player took to Twitter on Sunday, tweeting, “Maybe It’s Me.”

While he didn’t name Irving, fans in the replies speculated that the tweet was about the former Brooklyn Nets player—and that, perhaps, LeBron is jokingly suggesting that he’s the one to blame for him and Irving not being reunited in Los Angeles. The pair previously played together for the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2014 to 2017 and won a Championship together.

James has made no secret that he thinks Irving would be an asset to the Lakers. When asked if Irving could help James’ team “get to the finish line,” he responded, “My mindset is whatever lineup or whatever group that we have is to make sure we prepare ourselves the best way we can to go out and win. Obviously, that’s a—what’s the word you use—‘duh’ question when you talk about a player like that,” per Yahoo Sports.

The news came on Sunday that Irving was traded to the Mavericks in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie, Doran Finney-Smith, a first-round pick, and multiple second-round picks. Irving requested a trade just days ago, and threatened to sit out for the rest of the season if he wasn’t dealt by the trade deadline.
