The former personal chef who accused Stefon Diggs of assault is continuing to speak publicly following the NFL star’s recent court victory, this time directing an emotional message toward one of the mothers of his children.
Jamila Adams, who previously sued and accused Diggs of assault and strangulation before losing the criminal case earlier this month, posted a lengthy statement online alongside a video addressing the woman directly.
“The way he treated you when you were pregnant, the way he talked to you when you were pregnant… will always be something I will never understand,” Adams said in the video.
She went on to reference alleged incidents surrounding the pregnancy and birth, claiming people close to Diggs were aware of how he treated the woman at the time.
“The way he treated you in the delivery room, the way he treated you after the baby,” Adams continued. “The same person that abused you, abused me.”
Adams also claimed text messages between them allegedly documented the way Diggs spoke to and belittled the woman during the relationship, though she stopped short of revealing specific details publicly.
“That’s not my story to tell,” she said before apologizing directly to the woman in the message.
The comments arrive just days after Diggs was found not guilty on felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault and battery charges tied to allegations Adams made stemming from an incident at his home late last year.
Adams had accused the former New England Patriots wide receiver of striking her during an argument connected to a dispute inside the home. During the trial, testimony revealed that the two had previously had a sexual relationship before she later began working as his chef.
Diggs denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty. His legal team argued there was little physical evidence supporting the claims and suggested Adams had financial motivations tied to the case. Defense attorneys also pointed to deleted text messages they argued undermined parts of her account.
After a brief trial and jury deliberation, Diggs was acquitted on all charges. Reports from inside the courtroom described the NFL player as emotional after hearing the verdict.
Following the decision, Adams appeared to shift her focus toward social media, posting a message that referenced Cardi B, who shares a child with Diggs.
“I was the one apologizing for how he treated while you were pregnant & after,” Adams wrote in part on Instagram. “Cardi you know I didn’t lie.”
