Mase took a moment to ask Dwight Howard about his relationship with God during a recent episode of It Is What It Is while the former NBA star discussed what's been going on in his life recently.
During the conversation, Mase said he wanted to end the segment on a positive note before asking Howard where his faith currently stands.
"So if you even want to share, where do you say that your faith is right now?" Ma$e asked.
Howard responded by saying his faith remains intact despite challenges he's been dealing with, including his ongoing divorce.
"Oh, it's there. It's always been there," Howard said. "He's never going to leave. I'm never going to leave Him. So my faith is what has kept me."
Ma$e then explained why he brought up the topic.
"I just said that so we can end it on a good high note and have people have some good stuff to talk about," he said.
Co-host Cam'ron also joined in on the exchange after asking Howard whether he was still living in Atlanta. After Howard confirmed he was, Cam encouraged him to check out Ma$e's church in the city.
"Mase got the church over there," Cam said. "Make sure you go check it out."
Howard replied, "Okay," before the conversation moved on.
The podcast appearance comes amid continued developments in Howard's divorce proceedings with his estranged wife, Amy Luciani. Recently, Howard withdrew a protective order he had previously obtained against her as both sides reportedly work toward resolving the divorce more peacefully.
According to Howard's attorney, the decision to drop the order was intended to help move discussions toward a more cooperative settlement process. The attorney described the move as a common step in divorce cases, in which temporary legal protections are initially requested before negotiations continue.
The latest update followed a tense stretch in the public dispute between the two. Earlier, a Georgia judge granted Howard a temporary restraining order after he accused Luciani of threatening behavior. Luciani denied the allegations and claimed the filing was retaliatory after she publicly discussed issues within their marriage.
Their divorce battle has continued publicly across social media and court filings in recent months, with both sides making accusations related to finances, family matters, and events inside the home.
Howard officially filed for divorce earlier this year, describing the marriage as beyond repair.
