Jameis Winston has once again proven to be a media darling after his passionate speech about Deshaun Watson's ruptured Achilles injury was transformed into meme heaven.
On Sunday, Winston gave a speech to reporters in which he denounced the fans who cheered when Watson injured his Achilles during the Cleveland Browns game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
In his speech, Winston stated he has witnessed the world turn against Watson over the sexual assault controversies he has faced and claimed he would stand by him during another difficult time. Watson faced accusations of sexual assault and harassment from over two dozen women related to inappropriate behavior during massage therapy sessions in Texas, prior to his trade to Cleveland.
While Winston was serious in his speech, his unintentionally funny mannerisms led people to use clips from it to create several hilarious memes. The most popular line from the speech featured Winston saying Watson has to "overcome another obstacle": and that he would "be there for him," which people used to describe a man defending a friend who just cheated or someone being used as a job reference.
The 30-year-old quarterback has given fans so many hilarious moments over the years, such as his postgame interviews or dancing with crutches in the locker room. One of the funniest postgame interactions was when he referred to getting a win by figuratively eating a "W" sign made with his hand while playing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
