Two fans got into a violent brawl in the middle of a game between the San Diego Padres and Minnesota Twins.
On Tuesday night, the Padres took on the Twins in a late summer matchup at Petco Park, where a pair of fans got into a fight that resembled a full-blown bare-knuckle boxing match. In a video that has been circulating on social media, both men are seen squaring up, before one throws a pair of one-two punch combos that barely grazed the other fighter, who bobbed and weaved through the attack.
Eventually, the punches landed, causing the other man to stumble against the seats, bleeding from his mouth. Despite the injury, he continued to taunt his opponent who walked away, shouting, "Get the fuck out of here!"
The San Diego Police Department told TMZ Sports that no incident reports were filed by stadium authorities, and both men were ejected from the game. Neither party pressed charges or was arrested. They also declined medical attention after the fight.
As for the game, the Padres defeated the Twins 7-5, with the home team powering four runs in the eighth inning that helped seal the victory.
Fights at baseball games are no surprise. In July, a brawl broke out between fans attending a game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox after a woman was hit with a cup of beer. The fight was so intense that it caught the attention of Shohei Ohtani, Teoscar Hernandez, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto in the dugout.
