Brandon Clarke's fiancée, Amber Lorraine, went public with her grief, posting a heartfelt Instagram tribute to the Memphis Grizzlies forward who died on May 12 in Los Angeles at age 29.
Paired with couple photos and a clip of Clarke on one knee during his proposal, the post captured the life the two had been building. "The day you proposed was the happiest day of my life. We were supposed to be married soon and eventually start a family," Lorraine wrote.
In the caption, she called Clarke her soulmate and painted a picture of their everyday life together, from his silly jokes and their deep conversations to shared breakfasts, quiet nights watching Harry Potter, and a dream of eventually settling somewhere with animals and a garden.
She described him as the most special person, with the biggest heart, and credited his music and gaming talents, alongside the way he made her feel loved daily.
"There are no words to describe this feeling," she wrote. "I never thought I'd have to live life without you."
Lorraine closed the tribute with a direct plea: "All I want is to hug you and kiss you. This world isn't the same without you." She ended by asking Clarke to keep watching over her.
Clarke's death remains under investigation. Per TMZ, law enforcement sources have said a possible overdose is being looked at as the cause.
