Fat Joe Claims Cleveland Cavaliers Took His Game 4 Courtside Seats Away

The Terror Squad rapper said the tickets he bought for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals were allegedly canceled by the Cavs organization.

Fat Joe has claimed that the Cleveland Cavaliers put a stop to him sitting courtside at Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

On Monday (May 25), during his appearance on ESPN’s NBA Today, Joe, a die-hard New York Knicks fan, alleged that when the Cavaliers found out he was the person who bought the courtside tickets, they were pulled by the organization.

"I wanna say to Cleveland, I have bad news," he said (around the 3:13 mark in the video below). "We had bought some courtside seats to the game and then, once they found out it was superfan Fat Joe, they was like, 'I can’t sit courtside. New York Knicks fans can’t sit courtside.'"

He added: "Shame on you, Cleveland!"

Responding to Fat Joe's claims, the Cavs told The New York Post: "Playoff courtside seating is governed by a specific agreement that prohibits the resale or transfer of tickets without approval. All courtside ticket holders are required to comply with the terms of the single-game playoff agreement."

When game time came around, the Terror Squad rapper shared his viewpoint on his Instagram Stories. Even though he was allegedly not allowed to sit courtside, Joe appeared to be very close to the action — seemingly in the second row.

The New York Knicks went on to win 130 - 93, securing a sweep and sending them to the NBA Finals.

Prior to the win, Joe spoke about what it felt like to be on the precipice of something that had not been accomplished in 27 years.

"We haven’t won a chip in, what, 50 years? I mean, it’s time," he said. "We paid our dues. We cried like everybody."

Joe spoke about the suffering that he and fellow Knicks superfan Spike Lee have endured through the years, recalling times when they attended games where the team was up big with a few minutes remaining, only to walk out of Madison Square Garden dejected.

"We earned this," he said. "As Knicks fans, we earned the right to be happy right now."
