Draymond Green Says Warriors Offered Him Head Coach Position After Retirement

Draymond also predicted Golden State will win the title after acquiring Jimmy Butler via trade.

Did the Golden State Warriors really offer the head coaching job to Draymond Green when he retires?

The claim was made after Candace Parker dismissed the possibility of her becoming a head coach. "There's no way that I could coach… ever, in the history of - it would be, like, Draymond coaching," Parker responded, which left Green stunned.

"I've already been offered the Golden State Warriors head coaching job when I'm done," Draymond fired back. "You think I'ma suck?"

The Warriors have not addressed the validity of Green’s claim.

His former Warriors teammate Kevin Durant endorsed the post-retirement move, arguing that a head coaching job will satiate his competitive spirit more than an analyst gig ever could.

"I think Draymond would be an incredible head coach. I think he'd be a better head coach than he would be a TV analyst and he's pretty good at that," Durant explained. "I just think he loves being on the floor. He loves teaching. He loves that competitive nature of competing on the court and I think if he would go into TV, he will just be clawing and itching to get back on the floor. So yeah, I think he’d be a great coach."
