David Bakhtiari is giving his friend and former teammate Aaron Rodgers crap for not inviting him to his wedding.
Bakhtiari posted a video on X from Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love and Ronika Stone’s wedding ceremony, and threw a little shade at Rodgers in the process. “Love is love,” he wrote. “Congrats to the Loves. Just happy at least one of my quarterbacks invited me to their wedding.”
After signing a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this month, Rodgers showed up to his introductory press conference with a wedding band on his ring finger. When asked about it, the 41-year-old confirmed he had tied the knot “a couple of months” ago.
Rodgers has declined to publicly identify the person he married.
During a Dec. 23 appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers referred to a woman named Brittani as his “girlfriend.” He said their relationship was “serious” four months later.
Days after he was photographed walking alone on a Malibu beach, Rodgers spoke out on The Pat McAfee Show about the media coverage of his private life.
“The entitlement to information about my private life is so fucking ridiculous and embarrassing,” he said. “Like, hey, do what you’ve got to do, but try and leave me out, my personal life, my professional life, try not to talk about me… for the next six weeks, five weeks, whatever it is. Just see if you can do that.”
Rodgers said his wife is “private” and “doesn’t want to be in the public eye.”
Bakhtiari and Rodgers played 10 seasons together with the Packers. The two built a friendship that extended beyond the football field. Rodgers was once recorded carrying a case of beer in Bakhtiari’s pickup truck following practice.
Bakhtiari shared a gift he received from Rodgers in the form of a customized golf cart that was made to look like an Aston Martin Vanquish.
