Former University of Michigan Coach Sherrone Moore and his wife, Kelli Moore, have three kids together, and one of their children is a fairly recent addition to their family.
Sherrone is under scrutiny after a dramatic series of events unfolded in Michigan. First, university officials announced on December 10 that he was terminated due to "credible evidence" that he "engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member."
"This conduct constitutes a clear violation of University policy and U-M maintains zero tolerance for such behavior. Biff Poggi has been appointed head football coach in an interim capacity, effective immediately," the university said in a statement. The staff member has not been named.
Then, Sherrone was arrested and booked into the Washtenaw County Jail in Michigan on an alleged assault investigation, according to jail records and a Pittsfield police news release. Although the release does not name Sherrone, it was widely reported, including by ESPN, that it refers to his arrest.
That all has people wondering about his family. "He and his wife, Kelli, were married in 2015. Together, they have three daughters, Shiloh, Solei, and Sadie," Sherrone's University of Michigan bio reads.
According to Us Weekly, "Shiloh was born in 2019, and Solei joined their family in 2022. Sadie’s birthdate has not been publicly shared."
The Broyles Award posted a photo of Sherrone with one of his daughters in November. "When Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore has free time, he spends it with his family," the post says.
“Our daughters don’t care about the outcome of the games, they just want daddy to sit down and read them a book when he gets home … and that’s what he does," he was quoted as saying.
Kelli has privatized her social media, although, according to Us Weekly, she had been seen in the stands supporting the University of Michigan. Her X profile reads, "Jesus follower, Coach Moore's wife, mom, and ally."
Sherrone has posted several times about his wife on Instagram for her birthday and their anniversary.
"Happy three year anniversary to my life partner and best friend. So proud of you and all your accomplishments. I am so happy and blessed beyond measure to call you my wife as the man upstairs leads us to live through him. Love you soo much and excited about what the future holds for us!" he wrote in 2018, sharing a photo from their wedding.
