Shams Charania will be making his NBA debut on the court during this year's All-Star Weekend next month in Los Angeles.
The ESPN sports reporter teased that he'll be suiting up for the sports event during the Tuesday (January 27) episode of sports talk show NBA Today. "That's always been a dream for me, Hannah, so I appreciate it," Charania told co-host Hannah Storm. "Between the trade deadline and the celebrity game, now I realize I got a lot of ramp-up to do. I gotta represent."
Charania also broke down his court skills, adding, "I'm a shooter, I can handle the ball, and I can make my floaters."
Also expected to participate in the 2026 NBA Celebrity All-Star game are GloRilla and Mustard, with more guests to be announced. The sports anchor gave himself a scouting report last year on ESPN, as seen in the TikTok below, where he reacted to a video of himself making "buckets."
"Don't sleep on me. Come on now," he said at the time.
The 2026 NBA All-Star Game will be held at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood from February 13-15, while several events throughout the weekend will also be held at the Kia Forum and Los Angeles Convention Center. Charania will hold it down during the Celebrity All-Star Game at Kia Forum on February 13 at 7 p.m., and tickets are available here.
