Kyle Singler, once a standout at Duke University and a longtime NBA role player, sparked widespread concern this weekend after posting a volatile, profanity-laced video on Instagram that quickly spread across social media.

Per The New York Post, Singler appears visibly distressed as he delivers a rapid, emotional monologue, accusing people close to him of exploiting him financially and harming his family.

“I don’t feel safe,” Singler says at one point, alleging that individuals in his life are taking his money and that his child is being abused. "Shame on everybody that knows me that’s not helping, not intervening. F**k y’all. Duke, Medford (Oregon), everybody.”

He also claims he is currently homeless and isolated. “I’m on my own… people are just feeding off me,” he says.

The video ends with Singler doubling down on his sense of betrayal, declaring that he has been “taken advantage of every single step of the way” and that he is now speaking out after staying silent for years.

The alarming post arrives amid an already turbulent period for the former Duke star. Court records show Singler was arrested in Oklahoma in October on a misdemeanor assault charge following an alleged domestic incident involving his girlfriend that reportedly occurred in front of his child.

The case remains ongoing, and it is unclear whether Singler attended his most recent court hearing earlier this week.

This is not the first time Singler’s social media activity has raised red flags. In late 2024, he shared a series of troubling videos that prompted public concern from fans and former teammates.

Singler, now 37, was a key contributor on Duke’s 2010 national championship team before being selected by the Detroit Pistons in the 2011 NBA Draft. He spent six seasons in the league, also playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder, and earned more than $20 million during his professional career.

As of this writing, Singler has not issued any follow-up statements clarifying or expanding on the claims made in his video.
