A brawl between two Pennsylvania high schools has led to multiple arrests.

According to TMZ, local police are pursuing an investigation after a playoff game between schools Uniontown and Meadville went awry on Friday (March 8). Per KDKA News (via CBS), the game ended in an altercation after an attendee walked behind the Meadville cheering section and began hurling attacks. Roughly three minutes were left in the game when the brawl broke out between the student athletes, with some attendees also appearing to scuffle in the stands.

Video shows fans throwing punches in the stands, and players fighting on the court. Local police officers arrested two men on the court.

"Due to an unfortunate incident that occurred during last night's boys' basketball game, the game was brought to an early conclusion. While we regret this unexpected ending, the safety and well-being of players, fans, and staff remain our top priority," stated a spokesperson for Meadville Area Senior High School.

The game concluded with Meadville winning 63-55, but the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) ruled it a double forfeit, as the schools now face the possibility of disqualification from the 2026 tournament.

"PIAA publicly censures both schools for the actions in the March 7, 2025, PIAA first round inter-district basketball contest game held at Meadville High School against Uniontown Area High School," the PIAA said in a statement, per WTAE. "Both are removed from the PIAA inter-district basketball tournament and are suspended from participation for the remainder of the 2024-25 basketball tournament."

In addition to players and coaches being ordered to fulfill sportsmanship training, those involved in the brawl whose identities are known to administration are banned from participating in school-sponsored events until June 15, 2026.
