Paris Olympics 2024 viewers might’ve gotten a laugh in about pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati’s bulge, and now, the 21-year-old is getting in on the joke himself.
Over the weekend, Ammirati attempted to clear his target mark during the competition when his manhood bumped into the pole. Social media reacted to the clip with memes and NSFW jokes, but Ammirati didn’t have much of a response until Monday (August 3).
On TikTok, the French athlete filmed himself staring vacantly while eating at a restaurant with a message reading, "POV: tu fais plus de buzz pour ton paquet que pour tes perfs.” Via Google Translate, Ammirati’s joke translates to “POV: You create more buzz for your package than your performances."
In the caption, he added a sentence that translates to "I don't really know if I should take it well or not 😂."
Taking home the gold, silver and bronze medals, respectively, during the men’s athletic pole vault on Saturday (August 3), were Armand Duplantis of Sweden, USA’s Sam Kendricks and Greece’s Emmanouil Karalis. While Ammirati began with jumps reaching 5.40 meters and 5.60, he missed his final attempt of 5.70.
But adult film website CamSoda thinks Ammirati could have a future in the pornographic entertainment business, with Vice President Daryn Parker offering him $250,000 for a 60-minute webcam show on the platform, per TMZ.
