Four days after his season was ended by a torn left Achilles in the final seconds of a victory over the Rockets with a season-ending injury, New Orleans Pelicans center DeMarcus Cousins stated the obvious by stating "No lie this shit sucks!" in a post he shared across his social media platforms.
Despite the dire circumstances, Boogie does his best to stay positive. Considering he was in the midst of a career year, Cousins still managed to put his best foot forward (pun not intended).
Prior to his injury, the four-time All-Star was on a mission to get his team in the playoffs, with nightly averages of 25.2 points, 12.9 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.6 blocks. He and teammate Anthony Davis formed one of the deadliest duos in the entire NBA. But with Boogie gone, the once surging Pelicans are suddenly left surveying the wreckage of one of the most disappointing basketball injuries in recent memory.
