Yaya Mayweather wonders what it would be like to be gainfully employed.
On Thursday, the 25-year-old took to X, writing, “lately i’ve been bored so i was thinking about getting a job for fun, and maybe work like 2 or 3 days out of the week just to see what it’s like… why not?”
Yaya has likely never had to work a day in her life because her father is Floyd Mayweather Jr., who, according to Yahoo Sports, has a net worth of $400 million. While the 48-year-old ended his pro career in 2017 with a 50-0 record, he is set to face off against Mike Tyson this spring in a lucrative exhibition match.
Yaya has recently found herself in headlines regarding her relationship with YoungBoy Never Broke Again, with whom she shares a child. Earlier this month, Yaya claimed that YoungBoy didn’t help pay for their 5-year-old son, Kentrell Gaulden Jr.’s birthday party.
"You giving hoes money to go shopping and buying hoes jewelry, but still haven’t given me money for my son’s birthday party,” Mayweather tweeted. "You know who paid for my son’s birthday party? MY DAD!!!!!!"
She later apologized, explaining that she and the rapper have “personal issues.”
"Emotions were high and we weren't seeing eye to eye, but that doesn't justify it," she wrote on her Instagram Story. "I reacted out of frustration and I own that."
However, she did slam rumors that she paid YoungBoy to spend time with her. “I’ve never paid my bd $1.2m to hangout with him for a week when we weren’t on good terms,” she wrote. “Like wtf do y’all be talking about actually?”
She also pointed out how ridiculous the rumors are, considering how successful YoungBoy is. “For 1 he’s rich asf,” she continued. “Been rich asf, and for 2 my bd would never accept money from me ever. Weird fake ass narratives like that is the reason he would never even accept gifts from me. Why would I give money to someone who was taking care of me and giving me money dumbasses?”
