Yaya Mayweather wants people to know there’s no credibility to the rumor she paid YoungBoy Never Broke Again, the father of her child, $1.2 million to hang out with her when they weren’t on good terms.
In a series of posts shared on X, formerly Twitter, on Friday (Jan. 23), the daughter of world-famous boxer Floyd Mayweather laughed off the rumors. “I’ve never paid my bd $1.2m to hangout with him for a week when we weren’t on good terms,” she wrote. “Like wtf do y’all be talking about actually?”
She also pointed out how ridiculous the rumors are, considering how successful YoungBoy is. “For 1 he’s rich asf,” she continued. “Been rich asf, and for 2 my bd would never accept money from me ever. Weird fake ass narratives like that is the reason he would never even accept gifts from me. Why would I give money to someone who was taking care of me and giving me money dumbasses?”
In a series of follow-up posts, she suggested that she’s considering taking legal action. “I’m going to start suing y’all for lying on my name,” she wrote, later retweeting an account that spread the rumor with, “I’m suing you bitch.”
Earlier this month, Yaya appeared to call out YoungBoy for not contributing to their son Kentrell Jr.’s fifth birthday party. “You giving hoes money to go shopping and buying hoes jewelry, but still haven’t given me money for my son’s birthday party,” she wrote. “You know who paid for my son’s birthday party? MY DAD!!!!!!”
She later backtracked and apologized to the rapper. "Emotions were high and we weren't seeing eye to eye, but that doesn't justify it," she wrote on her Instagram Stories. "I reacted out of frustration and I own that. … He does help. Anytime I ask him for anything no matter what it is...even if it's for me he makes it happen. We spoke and he said he would give me the money that was paid for our son's birthday back. I just got upset because it wasn't happening quickly as I wanted and I let my emotions take over.”
