LeBron James’ scoring streak came to an end this week.

On Thursday night, the Los Angeles Lakers faced the Toronto Raptors, which saw James finish with eight points, concluding his record streak of 1,297 consecutive regular-season games with at least 10 points.

When asked postgame how he felt about the streak ending, James offered a brief answer: "None. We won," per ESPN.

The 40-year-old’s streak dates back to January 2007, when he scored eight points for the Cleveland Cavaliers in a 95-86 win against the Milwaukee Bucks. James' 1,297-game run is 431 games longer than Michael Jordan's 866-game streak; James and MJ are the only players to reach 600 games.

James had a chance to extend his streak on the final possession with a tied game. Instead of forcing a shot, he sent the ball to Rui Hachimura in the corner for a buzzer-beating three-pointer that gave the Lakers a 123-120 victory.

"This is the best way. If it had to end, the perfect ending for the streak is tonight," James told The Athletic's Dan Woike after the game. "It's literally who I am. That's who I am. … It's always been about: 'How can I win the game? How can I make the right play and win the game?' That streak just happened."
