Ben Stiller has let it be known that he and his wife are extremely superstitious.

The New York Knicks superfan revealed that he and Christine Taylor "burned" the outfits they wore to Game 3 of the NBA Finals, in which the Knicks lost to the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden.

"My wife Christine and I came home after the last game and burned the clothes we were wearing," Stiller said on ESPN’s NBA Tip-Off on Wednesday (June 10). "I'm never wearing that stupid Finals shirt that I was wearing, that was awful, and the jeans. She had some bracelets that got thrown away. Yeah, it's just you wipe it clean."

He explained that he kept another piece of clothing he was wearing because he "had good games with them," but otherwise "everything else" had to go. "You start fresh," he said.

On Monday (June 8), the Knicks lost to the Spurs 115-111, breaking the New York team's 13-game playoff winning streak. Many fans faulted Donald Trump for the loss, including Stephen A. Smith.

"Our president showed up in New York City last night," Smith said on Tuesday's (June 9) episode of First Take. "And needless to say, what I feared would happen ended up happening. The New York Knicks lost. And obviously, I'm blaming him."

Smith went on to say Trump "disrupted our mojo." He continued: "I've said this on many occasions over the last 24 hours and I'm saying it again: The man messed things up."

However, on Wednesday, the Knicks clinched Game 4, overcoming a 29-point deficit to beat the Spurs in the largest comeback in Finals history. Stiller was seen celebrating with Timothée Chalamet and other fans.

The Severance director also credited Wu-Tang's halftime performance as the "start of the comeback."

On Saturday (June 13), the Knicks face the Spurs in San Antonio for Game 5.
