As rumors circulated that Nicki Minaj broke things off with Meek Mill following Drake's flawless diss trackvictory, Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh reached out to her on social media, in what was clearly an attempt to swoop right in to help her pick up the pieces.
OK, that's probably not what happened.
But Harbaugh did slide into Nicki's mentions, by replying to a tweet she sent about how much she enjoys the state of Michigan.
It's unclear how Harbaugh came across this particular tweet, or why he chose to reply two days later.
Does he search the word Michigan on Twitter, and look for ways to endear himself to more of the state's football fans? Does he have a celebrity list set up, one that he checks frequently for these types of opportunities? Or, was he simply researching the whole Drake/Meek thing, trying to figure out what everyone was talking about?
Come on, Michigan sports journalists. These are precisely the types of hard-hitting questions that we should be asking.
