The rollout for the long-awaited showdown between Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano is officially entering its final stretch. Most Valuable Promotions and Netflix have now revealed the complete broadcast lineup and full slate of public events leading into the May 16 card at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, giving fans a clearer picture of what’s shaping up to be one of the year’s biggest combat sports spectacles.
According to USA Today, the event will stream globally on Netflix, with prelims airing on Netflix Tudum and MVP’s YouTube channel before the main card begins exclusively on the platform later that night.
Alongside the main event between Rousey and Carano, the promotion is stacking the weekend with appearances from major MMA names, including Francis Ngannou, Nate Diaz, Mike Perry, Junior dos Santos, Adriano Moraes, and Philipe Lins.
Netflix and MVP also unveiled an extensive on-air team led by ESPN personality Elle Duncan, veteran combat sports commentator Mauro Ranallo, longtime MMA analyst Kenny Florian, and journalist Ariel Helwani.
Former UFC champion Tyron Woodley joins the desk team, while Jon Jones, Cain Velasquez, and Cat Zingano are scheduled to appear throughout the broadcast as guest analysts.
The promotional buildup begins on May 13 with a public workout at the Venice Beach Basketball Courts featuring both headliners and several undercard fighters. A final press conference follows the next day at Intuit Dome, with public weigh-ins scheduled for May 15.
All three events are free and open to fans on a first-come basis.
The matchup marks Rousey’s first MMA appearance in nearly a decade and Carano’s first sanctioned fight in 17 years. In recent weeks, Rousey has framed the event as more than a simple comeback fight, calling it an attempt to “rewrite” the ending of her MMA career while also criticizing the UFC’s current direction.
“It’s about changing the landscape of the sport,” Rousey said during a recent press conference. “This isn’t a charity card or nostalgia card. This is the biggest fight in the world.”
Carano has similarly spoken about the significance of the event, describing the opportunity as deeply personal after years away from competition and rebuilding her public profile following her 2021 firing from The Mandalorian.
