The Philadelphia Eagles are perfect in the standings, but one of their biggest stars may not be feeling the same way.

AJ Brown logged only two catches for seven yards in the team's latest win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, September 28, per CBS Sports.

That stat line alone wouldn’t usually raise alarms, but it continues a pattern—three of his four games this season have ended with fewer than 30 receiving yards. For a player considered among the league’s elite wideouts, that’s a noticeable drop-off.

After the game, Brown posted Mark 6:11 to social media: “If you’re not welcomed, not listened to, quietly withdraw. Don’t make a scene. Shrug your shoulders and be on your way.”

For context, the original verse refers to Jesus' advice to his disciples as to the appropriate response to those who refuse to listen to the Word of God and includes a suggestion of "shaking the dust from your feet."

The Eagles’ offense has been productive on the scoreboard, but the way they’re moving the ball has raised questions. Jalen Hurts is averaging just six yards per pass attempt, ranking near the bottom among starters.

Brown has already hinted at wanting more creativity. Speaking before Sunday’s game, he explained, “Let’s not continue to hit our head on the wall and see if it’s gonna work. Let’s mix it up and do what we need to do.”

The team’s offensive lulls have been hard to ignore. Against Tampa Bay, the Eagles opened the second half with 26 plays that netted just 14 yards. A week earlier, they went 14 plays for only three yards during one stretch. Even with Saquon Barkley in the backfield, defenses are stacking the run.

Brown hasn’t addressed his post directly, and he skipped media availability after the weekend game. Hurts, meanwhile, tried to keep focus on the bigger picture: “We’re still searching to try and elevate and play to a standard.”
