Deion Sanders’ offseason trip to the U.S. Virgin Islands is doubling as more than just a break from football.
According to Sporting News, the Colorado head coach was recently spotted in St. Croix with Karrueche Tran and his son, Deion Sanders Jr., where he revealed plans to buy a home on the island and gave a glimpse into his personal life.
Footage shared from the trip shows Sanders balancing downtime with long-term thinking. During the trip, he made it clear the visit wasn’t just about relaxation. “We’re going looking for me… we’re looking for a family crib on the island,” Sanders said, indicating he’s seriously considering a property in St. Croix.
One lighter moment from the trip stood out quickly. While browsing Louis Vuitton items, Sanders joked about spotting knockoffs, playfully engaging Tran in a discussion about upgrading her collection.
The moment tied back to his long-running “Louis luggage” persona—a phrase he famously used when arriving in Colorado—adding a tongue-in-cheek twist to the outing as he compared luxury branding with the reality of what was in front of him.
The trip comes at a significant time for Sanders, who is entering another season at Colorado after a challenging year that included a battle with bladder cancer and follow-up procedures related to blood clots.
In St. Croix, he reflected on trying to find balance. “This is beautiful,” Sanders said. “Trying to slow down and speed up at the same time.”
Tran has been a consistent presence through that stretch, and the vacation offered another window into their relationship. In a vlog recorded during the trip, Sanders credited her support, saying, “You make certain I’m straight… You make sure I got what I need.”
Tran, in turn, described him as “down to earth,” noting that he values peace and simplicity over material things, despite his larger-than-life public image.
Their relationship, which became public in 2025, has largely stayed private. However, Tran was by Sanders’ side during multiple hospital visits and procedures, later acknowledging the difficulty of that period.
“It was hard… but we made it work,” she said in an earlier vlog.
