Deion Sanders is thinking about life beyond the sidelines—or at least how he wants to live it. The Colorado Buffaloes head coach recently revealed he’s exploring the idea of buying a home in St. Croix, a move that’s quickly sparked conversation about what the future could look like for the Hall of Famer.

The update came via a Well Off Media vlog posted by his son, Deion Sanders Jr., which captured the family’s trip to the U.S. Virgin Islands. While attending a charity golf event, Sanders shared that house hunting was also on the agenda.

“We’re in St. Croix… and then we’re going looking for me,” he said in the video. “Yeah, we’re looking for a family crib on the island.”

He later added, “This is beautiful,” describing the setting as he reflected on balancing a demanding career with a desire to slow things down.

The comments arrive as Sanders prepares for another key season at Colorado, entering his fourth year leading the program. Known for reshaping the Buffaloes with his high-profile “Prime Effect,” Sanders has remained vocal about building something sustainable in Boulder.

At the same time, his remarks about pacing and long-term priorities stood out. “When I became a man, I started putting away certain things so I could do certain things later,” he said.

The St. Croix trip also offered a glimpse into Sanders’ personal life, including his relationship with actress Karrueche Tran. According to Sporting News, in a separate vlog filmed during the same visit, the couple spoke openly about their connection.

Sanders praised Tran for how she shows up for him, saying, “You make certain I’m straight… You make sure I got what I need.”

Tran, in turn, highlighted what she values most about Sanders, calling him “down to earth” and noting that he prioritizes peace over material things. “You don’t value materialistic things,” she said, pointing to his appreciation for simple moments like being near the water.

Their dynamic has been shaped in part by the challenges of the past year. Tran was by Sanders’ side during his battle with bladder cancer, including multiple procedures.

She later shared that staying through that period wasn’t easy but was intentional. “It was hard… but we made it work,” she said.
