The ongoing legal disputes surrounding Anthony Edwards have taken another significant turn after newly filed court documents revealed the Minnesota Timberwolves star's reported monthly earnings, providing the clearest picture yet of the financial stakes involved in his child support cases.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Edwards earns approximately $3.36 million in gross monthly income, a figure that surfaced in proceedings involving one of his children’s mothers, Alexandria Desroches. The filings also state that Desroches reports a monthly income of roughly $1,016 and that Edwards currently pays about $5,000 per month in child support for their child, who was born in October 2023.
The financial disclosure underscores just how dramatically Edwards' earning power has grown since signing a five-year contract extension in 2023, reportedly worth up to $260 million.
It arrives as Edwards remains involved in multiple family court matters. Beyond the Desroches case, the 24-year-old NBA star continues to battle Ayesha Howard, the mother of his daughter, Aubri, over child support and jurisdiction.
Those proceedings have generated headlines for more than a year as both sides have fought over whether key decisions should be handled in California or Georgia.
The newly revealed income figures add fresh context to claims made throughout those disputes. In recent months, Howard has accused Edwards of concealing California-based financial assets, including business interests and banking relationships, in an effort to challenge California's authority over child support matters.
Howard has argued that Edwards maintained substantial business connections to the state despite previously asserting otherwise. Edwards has denied wrongdoing, and his legal team has characterized many of Howard's filings as meritless and harassing.
The California fight has become increasingly complex as new evidence and new participants have entered the case. Earlier this year, Howard submitted a declaration from Desroches in support of her argument that Edwards maintained financial ties to California.
Desroches alleged that support payments were being wired from a Beverly Hills bank account connected to Edwards, a claim Howard cited as evidence that the NBA star had stronger California connections than previously disclosed.
