Angel Reese walked into Dallas hearing boos — and appeared to enjoy every second of it.
According to Fox News, during the Atlanta Dream’s 77-72 road win over the Dallas Wings on Tuesday night, May 11, Reese leaned directly into the hostile atmosphere, repeatedly responding to the crowd after key plays. Early in the game, after finishing through contact on an offensive rebound, Reese flexed toward the stands, flashed the “too small” gesture, and motioned for fans to get louder as boos rained down inside College Park Center.
The reactions continued throughout the night. Reese repeatedly celebrated physical plays around the basket, especially after second-chance points, while Dallas fans kept up the jeers.
By the end of the game, the second-year star had posted another double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds while helping Atlanta improve to 2-0 on the season.
Afterward, Reese added another layer to the moment on Instagram, reposting the final score graphic with the caption: “2-0. ROAD KILLS.”
The performance followed comments Reese made earlier in the week after her debut with Atlanta. Despite recording a double-double in her first game with the Dream, she admitted she wasn’t fully satisfied with how she played offensively and expected to respond quickly.
“If the shot is not falling, I can get it back on defense,” Reese said. “But I know I’ll have a better night tonight.”
Atlanta’s veteran core also publicly backed Reese after the win. Allisha Gray, who led the Dream with 26 points, praised Reese’s energy and presence inside the locker room.
“She’s such a positive person,” Gray said after the game. “No matter what state we are in the game, she always brings us together.”
Reese entered the season already carrying one of the league’s biggest spotlights, something that has only intensified over the past year through her rivalry-adjacent connection with Caitlin Clark and constant social media discussion surrounding both players.
“Move on! Worry about the current boyfriend,” Cunningham said while reacting to Reese reposting a playoff dunk clip involving Carter Jr. and Duren.
