Tom Brady is a proud dad of his son Jack, who just celebrated his 17th birthday.

The former quarterback, 47, shared a sweet post to his Instagram on Thursday, calling Jack the "kindest, sweetest, most thoughtful 17-year-old I know," along with a series of photos.

"You are truly a blessing in my life and I am so grateful to watch you mature into a young man. Your love of family, friends, school, athletics, hard work and dedication to everything you put your energy into are just some of your amazing qualities," Brady wrote on Instagram.

He continued, "I love spending every minute with you and I cherish our time together. (Those are all my favorite things about you. My least favorite is that you can beat me in one on one now 🙄😂)."

Brady welcomed Jack with his ex-girlfriend, 53-year-old actress Bridget Moynahan on August 22, 2007 in Santa Monica, California, according to People. He also has two other children with 43-year-old ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, Benjamin Rein, 14, and Vivian Lake, 11.

"I love you always and forever, happy birthday, dad," Brady wrote, closing out his message.

Last week, the former NFL superstar told the magazine that he’s getting his kids "prepared to go back to school where they should be, learning and getting back with their friends and getting back to a better rhythm."

In the meantime, Brady is getting ready to start his new gig as the lead analyst for Fox Sports after making his debut in the NFL broadcasting booth in June.
