IShowSpeed’s live stream in Athens took a bizarre turn when a banana-wielding individual startled both him and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
About an hour and a half into Speed’s IRL stream in Greece on Thursday (July 10), the two were seen riding through Athens in the back of a car. Through the window, a crowd of fans could be seen chasing after the vehicle, with one person holding a banana.
As the car briefly stopped, the fan approached the window, placed the banana on his forehead, shook his head, and stuck out his tongue.
“Was that a banana? Hey, Henry, get him,” Speed said, referring to one of his bodyguards.
Antetokounmpo, visibly confused, asked, “Why he had a banana, bro?” Moments later, the NBA star turned toward the window and addressed the fan directly, saying: “I don’t like that. Hey, man! Put the banana down, bro. The hell is wrong with you?”
The bizarre moment was reminiscent of an incident that took place while Speed toured through Chengdu, China back in March.
At the four hour and 17-minute mark linked here, a young man approached the streamer while he was briefly stopped in traffic and handed him a KFC box with a banana wrapped inside before proceeding to make ape noises.
Speed also announced on Thursday he will tour through Mykonos, Greece for his next stream. He is also set to visit Spain, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, France and more.
