George Kittle turned heads after celebrating with a song from KPop Demon Hunters.

After the San Francisco 49ers' 34-24 win over the New York Giants on Sunday (Nov. 2), the 32-year-old tight end celebrated on the field by dancing to "Golden" from the hit Netflix movie.

As seen in footage circulating online, Kittle waved his arms and bobbed his head as the song played through MetLife Stadium.

When asked about it afterward during a press conference, Kittle said, "I was pumped. KPop Demon Hunters is a great movie. I actually got made fun of by multiple people for wanting to watch it."

He continued, “I was like, ‘Look, it's the number one streamed movie globally after like two days.’ So I gotta watch it. Turns out: great movie, good plot, good storyline, character development, great music, and so they played like the number one hit from that, was it ‘Golden’? And, you know, I got a great energy. The crowd responded well. I was like, ‘Let's just have a nice little dance party, get the juices flowing,’ you know?”

Kittle also said he was “pumped” about 49ers fans bringing that energy on the road.

Singer EJAE, who performs as Rumi in the movie's soundtrack, reacted with a surprised emoji on her Instagram Story after hearing Kittle's comments.

KPop Demon Hunters, which was released in June, is now a major cultural phenomenon, surpassing Squid Game as Netflix's most watched title with over 390 million views.

The soundtrack topped the Billboard 200 for two nonconsecutive weeks, and its breakout hit “Golden” (performed by EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami) led the Hot 100 chart for eight consecutive weeks. It remains on the charts just trailing behind Taylor Swift, whose The Life of a Showgirl album and its lead single “The Fate of Ophelia” are holding a grip on the Album 200 and Hot 100 chart’s No. 1 slots respectively.

The film’s story centers on Huntr/x, a K-Pop trio that doubles as a group of demon hunters who protect their fans from supernatural threats. Their mission is to seal the “Honmoon,” a mystical barrier that prevents demons from crossing into the human world. The singers clash with the Saja Boys, a new rival boy band secretly made up of demons. Meanwhile, Rumi harbors a painful secret that could threaten their entire mission.
