Marshawn Lynch Signs Deal With the Seattle Seahawks

Lynch is headed back to Seattle.

Looks like the reports turned out to be true. Marshawn Lynch is headed back to Seattle.

Lynch, who's 33, agreed to a deal with the Seahawks, Ian Rapoport reported on Monday night. Doug Hendrickson, Lynch's agent, took to Twitter to post a picture of the contract.

Adam Schefter reports that Lynch's newly signed deal will cover the remainder of the season and postseason.

Lynch previously played with the Oakland Raiders. "He's been working really hard," Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said while on 710 ESPN Seattle. "He's really excited about the chance to do something helping out, and I think it's freakin' great if he could get out there and tote the ball for us. The circumstances rolled just at this time, and he could have four or five games left in him. Maybe that's what we need."

Lynch wasn't the only person to sign a deal with his former team. Robert Turbin and the Seahawks also reached a deal. The signing of the two running backs comes on the heels of Chris Carson and C.J. Prosise sustaining injuries.
