The Best Air Jordan 1 Lows of All Time, Ranked

Travis Scott collabs? Chicagos? Here's how we ranked them.

The Air Jordan 1 Low generally doesn’t get nearly as much fanfare as its high-top counterpart does when it comes to producing some of the best Air Jordan releases ever, but that has changed in recent memory.

The Peter Moore-designed Air Jordan 1 Low was part of the Jordan 1’s original rollout in 1985 alongside the high and released in two colorways, including in “Metallic Navy” and “Natural Grey.” The Jordan 1 Low never really took off in popularity like the high, but it felt like everything changed when the first Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low released in 2019.

To be fair, we could’ve easily filled this entire list with just Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low colorways, which we have put together in the past, but that wasn’t the point of this list. There have certainly been a number of other Jordan 1 Low styles throughout its history that deserve their own recognition. Here’s our ranking of the 10 Best Air Jordan 1 Lows.

Every Air Jordan Releasing in 2026

The Best Air Jordan 11 Lows of All Time, Ranked

Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Year of the Rabbit’

Year: 2023

This shoe gets forgotten about, but it shouldn’t. And that only happens because it’s so rare. The “Year of the Rabbit” Air Jordan 1 Low was part of the Chinese New Year collection and it featured a few shades of buttery suede and furry laces. It’s just a super solid shoe. —Matt Welty

Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Voodoo’

Year: 2022

The Air Jordan 1 Low “Voodoo” definitely deserves a spot on the list based on fan love alone. It’s not a shoe for everyone, but the people who do like it tend to be fully obsessed. Released in 2022, the design delivered exactly what made the pair stand out in the first place, from the stitched panels to the button details and handcrafted feel. While it’s tied to Zion Williamson, the real appeal goes beyond that. People connected it with the New Orleans roots, voodoo-inspired storytelling, and unique design language. Resale never got out of control, but this is still one of those pairs that has a real cult following. —Douglas Jase

Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Metallic Navy’

Year: 1985, 2016, 2024

The ‘Metallic Navy’ colorway is the best of the two original Air Jordan 1 Lows that were released in 1985, so that alone warrants a spot on this list. It was part of a larger Jordan 1 High “Metallic” pack that included seven colorways. Each version featured a predominantly white makeup, offset by each pair’s respective hue covering the Swoosh, the collar, and outsole. It was one of the more sought after OG releases, but the brand decided to retro the colorway in 2016 and then again in 2024, giving newer sneaker fans the opportunity to own a piece of Air Jordan 1 history. —Victor Deng

Eric Koston x Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Midnight Navy’

Year: 2019

Before the recent uptick of Nike SB elevating classic silhouettes to be better suited for skateboarding, Eric Koston made a Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 Low collab in 2019 that was a big deal during its time. It was part of the model’s 35th anniversary celebrations and was inspired by an OG Jordan 1 Low colorway shown to him by fellow SB team rider Gino Iannucci. Koston’s version had subtle updates, including mini Jumpman logos embroidered on the toe, which provided a nice differentiation from in-line releases. —Victor Deng

Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Chicago’

Year: 2016, 2025

As much as we love original Air Jordan 1 colorways, they tend to look best on their original cuts. That’s not to say there’s anything wrong with the “Chicago” Air Jordan 1 Low—it still ranks well on our list of best Air Jordan 1 Lows. But without ever originally existing alongside its high-cut counterpart, and not having any real history until 2016, it just lacks something that some of these brand new colorways bring to the silhouette. That said, any variation of a “Chicago” Air Jordan 1 is referencing one of the greatest sneakers of all time, and a worthy choice. —Zac Dubasik

5

Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Reverse Mocha’

Year: 2022

The “Reverse Mocha” may not be as revered as the other Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Lows on this list, but it’s still one of the more desirable collabs from the duo. Who can forget that there were 2.4 million entries submitted back in 2022 during the raffle’s 30-minute window. This iteration follows a similar formula that fans expect out of a Travis Scott and Jordan Brand collab, donning earth tones throughout the sneaker as well as his signature reverse Swoosh on the lateral side. Overall, it’s a solid release from Travis and Jordan Brand, and one we actually encounter on a widespread basis.. —Victor Deng

Dior x Air Jordan 1 Low

Year: 2020

Dior’s Air Jordan 1 collaboration was polarizing when it released in 2020, yet there were five million people ready to shell out $2,000 for the Low and $2,200 for the High. It’s still polarizing today, but stands as one of the best Air Jordan 1 Lows of all time for how unique it is. The sneaker features a rather simple colorway highlighted by Dior’s oblique pattern covering the Swoosh. The real star of the show though is the quality and unique construction. The leather and materials, with their rolled and painted edges, are unlike anything we’ve ever seen on an Air Jordan. Then there’s the fine tonal jacquard print on the tongue that’s so subtle it’s almost invisible, but elevates the build even further when noticed. No, it’s not for everyone, but the Dior x Air Jordan 1’s impact is hard to deny—as is the quality. —Zac Dubasik

3

Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 Low

Year: 2025

Nigel Sylvester’s Air Jordan 4s get all the glory—and rightfully so. The “Brick by Bricks” had widespread support for sneaker of the year in 2025, and 2026’s “Brick After Bricks” appear to be eying a repeat. That’s a heck of a run, but almost overlooked in the hype was his “Better With Time” Air Jordan 1 Low, which is arguably easier to wear than either of the 4s. One of the things that makes the Air Jordan 1 Low so popular is its wearability, and the pre-distressing found on these plays into that perfectly. There’s no need to keep them pristine, because they were made to actually use. And that’s exactly why they rank so high on our list of the best Air Jordan 1 Lows. —Zac Dubasik

Fragment x Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low (2025)

Year: 2025

Anytime we get a collaboration between Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment, Travis Scott, and Jordan Brand, it’s going to turn heads, and their Jordan 1 Low from 2025 was no exception. It was the second time the trio worked on the low-top version of the model, and was easily the better colorway of the two. Despite it including all the ingredients of a hyped collab with Fragment’s signature blue hue and Travis’ reverse Swoosh logo on the sneaker, it’s still one of the most wearable Air Jordan 1 Low colorways. Good luck finding a pair for a reasonable price, though. —Victor Deng

Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Mocha’

Year: 2019

First and foremost, respect has to be given to the OGs for laying the foundation. Without Michael Jordan, none of this would exist. But let’s be real—there’s a real argument that Travis Scott could dominate this whole list. While his Air Jordan 1 Low catalog runs deep, this pair is different. Coming off the success of his Air Jordan 1 High, the Low arrived in 2019 as the sequel and absolutely delivered. Dressed in a brown and black upper with multiple lace options, some would even argue this pair is better than the High, and honestly, that’s fair. This is an Air Jordan 1 Low list after all though, and while Travis didn’t singlehandedly make Air Jordan 1 Lows popular, he was definitely a major catalyst in pushing them further into everyday rotation and making more people pay attention. The mix of versatility, wearable styling, and a price point that once felt more attainable than some of his later collabs helped cement its place. After countless collaborations, this pair has remained the most memorable and continues to stand the test of time, making it the best Air Jordan 1 Low. —Douglas Jase
