The Best Air Jordan 11 Lows of All Time, Ranked

Parade? UNC? Citrus? Here's how we ranked the best low-cut Air Jordan 11s.

To some, the Air Jordan 11 is the best Air Jordan sneaker of all time. It’s synonymous with the peak of Michael Jordan’s dominance in the NBA, including the Chicago Bulls’ 72-10 record that season.

During that period, Nike also made a low-top version of the model that was exclusive to MJ himself, including a “Concord” colorway that he wore during the ’96 Championship parade. Fans waited years before the brand finally released the Air Jordan 11 Low in patent leather form to the public in the summer of 2001, and it’s since become something of an unofficial tradition for the season.

In addition to the OG colorways that have been converted to the Jordan 11 Low, there have been a handful of new styles throughout the years that stick out like the “Snakeskin,” Derek Jeter’s “Re2pect,” and “Tuxedo,” just to name a few.

It’s worth mentioning that the IE construction of the Jordan 11 Low was omitted from this ranking, and we stuck to the standard version of the retro. Without further ado, here’s our list of the Best Air Jordan 11 Lows of all time, ranked.

The Best Air Jordan 11s of All Time, Ranked

10

Air Jordan 11 Low ‘Bred’

Year: 2015, 2025

The ‘Bred’ Air Jordan 11 is one of the best colorways ever, and that sentiment stands even as a low top. MJ originally wore the black and red Jordan 11 Low during ohe ’96 NBA Finals game, which was exclusive to him at the time. The first retail release arrived nearly two decades later in 2015, and then another retro in 2025. You just can’t go wrong with a black and red-colored Air Jordan 11. —Victor Deng

Air Jordan 11 Low ‘Legend Blue’

Year: 2021

Despite it being one of the OG high-top colorways, the “Legend Blue” to me works better as an Air Jordan 11 Low. The all-white upper combined with the icy blue outsole just screams “summer shoe,” which we can’t say is the case with many of the original makeups. —Victor Deng

Air Jordan 11 Low ‘Infrared’

Year: 2014

The “Infrared” Air Jordan 11 Low combines key design elements from Air Jordan history like the cement grey speckle found on the heel from the Air Jordan 4, and the Infrared outsole taken from the Air Jordan 6. But does it in a subtle way that doesn't come across as a mash-up or hybrid. Instead, it just looks like a clean colorway that's unmistakably an Air Jordan, and one of the best examples of Air Jordan 11 Low. —Zac Dubasik

7

Air Jordan 11 Low ‘Citrus’

Year Released: 2001, 2021

The ‘Citrus’ colorway was part of the first set of Air Jordan 11 Low releases when the brand first retroed the patent leather low-top model in 2001, and there’s a number of reasons why this iteration sticks out. This sneaker switches things up from the standard two-tone color blocking on the upper with an all-white makeup offset by an orange outsole. It was also one of the first women’s exclusive colorways in '01, and even in 2021 when the brand retroed it—the bigger sizes were hard to come by. If nothing else, it’s just a solid summer shoe. —Victor Deng

Air Jordan 11 Low ‘Cherry Bottom’

Year: 2012

The “Cherry Bottom” Jordan 11 Low switches up the traditional color blocking to an all-white upper with a red outsole, which helps separate it from its high-top counterpart. And it’s a Bulls-esque colorway, which is always a plus. —Victor Deng

5

Air Jordan 11 Low ‘Derek Jeter: Re2pect’

Year: 2018

Derek Jeter’s Air Jordan 11 High is one of the most limited colorways of the sneaker ever, but Jordan Brand decided to convert it into a low-top in 2018 and make the style available to the masses. Not only does it don a Yankees-inspired colorway, but the shoe also features a premium navy suede upper, leather shoelaces, as well as The Captain’s jersey number embroidered on the heel. What a way to honor the career of one of baseball’s greats. —Victor Deng

Air Jordan 11 Low ‘Pink Snake’

Year: 2001, 2019

The “Pink Snakeskin” Air Jordan 11 Low showed what was possible with the silhouette for the future by introducing snakeskin detailing when it debuted in 2001. It set the blueprint for future releases like the “City Pack” Air Jordan 11s in 2025. Some people argue it pushed the silhouette too far and it was “no longer sacred”, but that conversation isn’t new. Even back then, it sparked debate. Either way, it proved that boundaries can be pushed, and this sneaker is a big reason why. —Douglas Jase

3

Air Jordan 11 Low ‘Tuxedo’

Year: 2013

There’s no backstory or meaningful history to the “Tuxedo” Air Jordan 11. It’s kind of “just” a reverse variation of the “Concord” Air Jordan 11 Low. But one of the reasons it ranks so high on our list of the best Air Jordan 11 Lows is because it never existed as a high. While Jordan Brand has been so restrained with the 11 highs, never even offering collaborations until 2026, the Low provided an opportunity to take more chances. This one explored a blocking that we’d never seen on the original cut of the sneaker, and it works. It really works. The “Tuxedo” 11 Low only released once, in 2013, and it remains an elite example of how well the silhouette translates to a lower cut. —Zac Dubasik

Air Jordan 11 Low ‘UNC’

Year: 2001, 2017, 2026

Although this list is ranked, this colorway was the first that came to mind while building it. Not because it’s set to release soon, but because of the hype and history that surrounded it. The “UNC” Air Jordan 11 Low originally debuted in 2001 and was last released in 2017. Seeing it return for a third time is honestly crazy, in hindsight, compared to other shoes that return. The 11 Low is a perfect summer shoe, and this colorway in particular stands out above the rest during this time of year. I wouldn’t be surprised if this release ends up being a hit. —Douglas Jase

1

Air Jordan 11 Low ‘Concord’ (Parade)

Year: 2014

As evidenced by how we ranked this list, we tend to favor unique variations of Air Jordan 11 Lows over the simple chopped-down original colorways. One notable exception to that rule is reserved for any sneaker Michael Jordan wore for the 1996 NBA Championship parade. The enduring image of MJ dressed in high-waisted, wide-legged jeans, t-shirt tucked and belted in, hoisting the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy, is an iconic moment in sports history. And for almost 20 years, the sneakers he wore that day—a low-cut version of the “Concord” 11—remained elusive, never releasing to the public until 2014. Jordan Brand routinely pulls small details from Jordan’s life to tell stories around, but they rarely land like the real moments, which told themselves in real time. On top of just looking cool, the ‘Concord’ 11 Low means so much because it was actually part of history, which made it our easy pick as the best Air Jordan 11 Low of all time. —Zac Dubasik
