As we get closer to the debut of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s Converse signature line in 2025, the brand has now unveiled the Oklahoma City Thunder guard's logo.
The footwear brand confirmed that the logo shown above was originally hand-drawn by Gilgeous-Alexander. The design represents mirrored versions of the number 2 as a nod to the guard's jersey number and his "dual identities," both on and off the basketball court. For Gilgeous-Alexander, this means combining basketball with fashion. Despite the unveiling of the logo, concrete release info for his inaugural signature collection has yet to be announced.
Gilgeous-Alexander first signed an endorsement deal with Converse in 2020 before extending their partnership in April. In the new agreement, Gilgeous-Alexander was also appointed as the creative director of Converse Basketball, which went into effect in September.
The logo will be on display today at Toronto’s Eaton Centre as Gilegeous-Alexander and his Thunder squad face off against the Raptors later this evening.
