We learned that big things are brewing for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander over at Converse when he inked an extension with the brand earlier this year. Before the Oklahoma City Thunder star introduces his own Converse signature shoe next year, we're now learning that he has his own Weapon colorway dropping soon.
Dubbed the Shai Weapon, this latest iteration of the basketball-turned-lifestyle silhouette pays homage to Gilgeous-Alexander's affinity for vintage style. This is captured through the sneaker's aged purple and sail accents designed to mimic the aged look of vintage shoes. The majority of the upper is equipped with a white-based flat leather but the underlay panels feature a cracked design to further the aged aesthetic. Finishing up the look is a pre-yellowed outsole.
This collaborative Converse Shai Weapon colorway will be released in limited quantities on Aug. 14 at Converse.com and at select Converse stockists.
