Nike is planning to celebrate the Lunar New Year in 2026 by releasing multiple versions of the “Year of the Horse” Kobe 8. In addition to bringing back the original variation from 2014 next year, a new premium colorway is also on the horizon.
Official product images of the “Year of the Horse” Kobe 8 EXT have emerged. A majority of the upper is covered in a stealthy black pony hair material and is offset by gold details on the tongue and portions of the heel. A special gold horseshoe lace lock appears at the midfoot, while red snakeskin-inspired insoles are included in the interiors. The sneaker also comes with a special dust bag and a red-colored box.
At the time of writing, release details for this “Year of the Horse” Kobe 8 EXT Protro have yet to be announced by Nike. Check back soon for official updates in the coming weeks.
