The Nike Kobe line is once again referencing the Los Angeles Dodgers for an upcoming sneaker release.
This time, the Dodger Blue hue is coming to the Kobe 5 Protro (style code: IO6256-400), as seen in the images here. Nike doesn’t skimp on covering Kobe Bryant’s fifth Nike signature hoops shoe in the shade either, as most of the silhouette is covered in blue. This iteration does feature a silver Swoosh on the sides and red stitching toward the heel, resembling the lacing of a baseball. Additional details include both of Bryant’s jersey numbers featured on the back of the tongue.
Nike famously released a Dodgers-inspired colorway of the Kobe 6 Protro in 2025, which became one of the more popular makeups of the model. Additionally, the release included matching slides and baseball equipment.
As of now, concrete release details for the Dodgers-inspired Kobe 5 have yet to be announced by Nike. Check back soon for official updates.
