A wild trend called #BootsOnlySummer took over TikTok in recent weeks, where sneaker fans wear their football cleats as their everyday lifestyle shoes. As you'd imagine, wearers may run into difficulties wearing the cleats outside of the soccer field, given their raised spike soles. Now, Nike plans to solve that issue with its upcoming Cryoshot line.
According to Nike, Cryoshot takes inspiration "from the desire to honor and preserve Nike Football nostalgia and fast-forward it to the future." The Cryoshot line is essentially a retro of the brand's football cleats, but the silhouettes now have a translucent shell around the midsole that transforms the cleat into lifestyle sneakers.
Thus far, Nike has unveiled the Cryoshot Tiempo and the Cryoshot Mercurial, pictured here, but release details for the styles have yet to be announced. Check back soon for official updates in the coming months.
