New Balance has unveiled the latest variation of its popular Two Wxy hoops shoe with the introduction of the Two Wxy v5.
Like past versions, this New Balance Two Wxy v5 silhouette caters to players who can make a play on either end of the basketball court. This fifth sneaker of the performance line picks up where the v4 version left off with the combination of its popular FuelCell and Fresh Foam cushioning tech in the midsole for responsiveness. The upper has a mid-cut mesh upper and a higher collar for a lockdown fit.
The New Balance Two Wxy v5 will debut in the "Bullseye" and "Ultra Pink" colorways, with the first pair referencing Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray's "Blue Arrow" nickname. The latter style is dressed in cotton candy-esque hues as a reminder of the fun that comes with the sport.
"The Two Wxy v5 takes direction from our athletes on what refining features would elevate their competitive experience. Whether players are creating space or defending in the open floor, our team refined the balance of comfort and control through these dynamic moments," says Myles Williams, the assistant product manager of New Balance Basketball. "Adding athlete-led innovation to this franchise helps take Jamal's—and any hooper's—game to the next level."
