New Balance has a new lifestyle sneaker coming soon in the form of this Abzorb 2000 model, pictured here.
Quietly teased by @soaressssssssssssssss on Instagram yesterday and reposted by @thedropdate was a first look at the New Balance 2000 Abzorb sneaker. Not to be confused with the New Balance 2000 that was introduced in the early 2000s, this new silhouette is more similar to the recent 9060.
The New Balance Abzorb 2000 features a textile mesh upper offset by additional overlay panels wrapping around the heel to the forefoot. As expected, the signature "N" logo is once again featured at the midfoot while Abzorb cushioning is featured in the podular-styled midsole.
Sources familiar with the release have confirmed to Complex that the New Balance Abzorb 2000 will arrive sometime in June, but an exact date has yet to be announced. Check back soon for updates.
UPDATE (06/02): New Balance has announced on its launch calendar that the Abzorb 2000 will officially hit retailers on June 12 at Newbalance.com and at select New Balance retailers for $170. Grab a closer look at the launch colorway below.
